Hey, I’m Abe Lungren
I am currently a massage student at The Aveda Institute in Provo, Utah
When I was 2 years old, my parents put me in soccer. Ever since then, I have had the privilege of being involved in a sport or at least staying active. Midway through my 5th-grade soccer season, I tore my Achilles tendon, putting me in a boot for 6 months. I completed the 6 months, and after my second practice back, I was limping off the field and was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. After months of PT, I was referred to sports massage (focused on more active stimulus and isolated muscle work). Within weeks, I was back to running, playing on the playground, and continuing my life with minor to eventually no pain.
Jumping forward 9 years, I didn’t hesitate at the opportunity to join Aveda’s massage program. The fact that I am in the position to give back to people who are in the same or a similar position I was in is a very surreal and eye-opening luxury that I look forward to every day.
While I unfortunately can’t guarantee you the results I was able to achieve, through 600 rigorous hours of anatomy, kinesiology, and hands on time training - I hope to make your life even 1% better! I push myself to be up to date on all of the latest massage studies, findings, and information so that I provide my clients with massage that doesn’t only help to relax, but it heals the body in the most effective way science knows how!
